Tanishka Shah

I create digital experiences that are thoughtfully designed, accessible, and grounded in research.

I'm a UI/UX designer and a B.Des graduate from MIT School of Design, Pune (2022–2026). I like taking messy, real-world problems and turning them into simple, usable solutions for people, whether that's in sports, healthcare, accessibility, or education.

My process usually covers the full UX arc: user research, stakeholder interviews, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. The goal is always the same, taking insights and business goals and turning them into interfaces that feel intuitive and can actually scale.

Some of my favourite work has come from unexpected places, like a low cognitive load shopping app I designed with caregivers and educators for users with Down syndrome, and a 144 page sustainability publication for IIT Guwahati that's now part of a national Train the Trainer program.

Figma is my primary tool for wireframing, UI design, and prototyping, with FigJam and Miro for research and workshops. I also use Adobe Illustrator for visual assets and Tableau when a project calls for data visualization.

It runs the full UX arc — user research and stakeholder interviews, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. Every decision is tied back to research insight or a business goal rather than personal taste.

Yes — accessibility is built into the process, not added at the end. I've designed for users with cognitive and developmental differences, and I follow WCAG guidance on contrast, hierarchy, and interaction patterns so products work for as many people as possible.

Yes. I work end-to-end — from interviews and usability testing through to high-fidelity UI and design systems — so research insights carry through cleanly into the final interface instead of getting lost in handoff.

My work spans sports, healthcare, accessibility, and education — including a low-cognitive-load shopping app for users with Down syndrome and a 144-page sustainability publication used in a national Train-the-Trainer program.

Yes, I'm open to both. Whether it's a short-term project or a full-time position, feel free to reach out through the contact form below and I'll get back to you.
